Round 1 Footy Wrap

In what was the most difficult conditions our club has experienced in our short three years, our kids all rose to the challenge and did a fantastic job out on the field!

We would like to thank all of our players for doing their best under the circumstances. For the safety of our under 10's team and opponents, we made the decision to call off the game at three quarter time. This was largely due to extreme gusts of winds and sideways hail. We thank you for your understanding in this situation.

U9 - Surf Coast Suns Polworth 8-6-54 Defeated South Barwon Swans 0-0-0

U9 - Surf Coast Suns Grenville 2-1-13 Lost Newtown and Chilwell Red 6-4-40

U10 - Surf Coast Suns 2-3-15 Lost Aireys Inlet Eels 8-6-54 (Game abandoned at 3/4 time)

U11 - Surf Coast Suns 12-11-83 Defeated Thomson Tigers 1-1-7

We are extremely proud of you all for the way you played and hope you didn't get turned off by the poor weather. I promise it won't be like that all the time.

As we move closer to to the commencement of the 2018 season, it is time to set out our training schedule for 2018.

Football

Under 9's - Tuesday's from 5-600pm, Polworth Oval commencing 13th March

Under 10's - Wednesday's from 5-600pm, Polworth Oval, commencing 14th March

Under 11's - Wednesday's from 5-630pm, Polworth Oval, commencing 14th March

Netball

Under 11's - Thursday's from 5-600pm, Courts 1 & 2, Nth Torquay commencing 15th March

Under 13's - Tuesday's from 5-600pm, Courts 1-4, Nth Torquay, commencing 13th March

Under 15's - Tuesday's from 6-700pm, Courts 1-4, Nth Torquay, commencing 13th March

We are still looking for parent volunteers to help with some of the teams this year, if you would like to volunteer as a coach, team manager or general helper, please let us know.
