Surf Coast Suns Inaugural A & B Grade Co-Coaches

Introducing Brendan White and Casey Carroll as the Surf Coast Suns’ inaugural A & B Grade Co-Coaches.

We’re thrilled to welcome two exceptional coaches — and even better humans — to our netball family.

Brendan and Casey bring an outstanding coaching pedigree to the Suns. Across four seasons at Winchelsea FNC (2022–2025), they earned multiple accolades, including back-to-back Geelong & District Football Netball League Coaches of the Year (2022 & 2023). Together, they’ve achieved an extraordinary record of consistent finals appearances:

A Grade

  • 2022 – Preliminary Final

  • 2023 – Preliminary Final

  • 2024 – Grand Final

  • 2025 – Currently competing in finals

B Grade

  • 2023 – Preliminary Final

  • 2024 – Elimination Final

Their coaching tenure also produced multiple A Grade players selected in the Team of the Year (2022–2025).

About Brendan

Brendan brings experience both on and off the court. He has played netball locally in Geelong and Queensland, and has an extensive background in high-level soccer throughout his junior and senior years — including State League competitions in Geelong and the Gold Coast Premier League with Gold Coast Knights and Surfers Paradise Apollo.

He draws on this elite sporting experience to bring a strategic, structure-focused approach to netball. His ability to translate soccer tactics into netball gameplay has been a key part of their coaching success — and something he’s excited to bring to the Surf Coast Suns.
